Hello....
I’ve spent the last seven years working closely with my own clients, and one of the most rewarding parts of my work has been watching their businesses grow and succeed.
Before starting my own practice, I was the finance lead for a successful family business and played a key role in supporting the sale of the company. Prior to that, I spent ten years in practice at Scott-Moncrieff, where I became a Director in Audit and was responsible for firm-wide training and development.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with businesses of all sizes across a wide range of sectors. I enjoy helping companies from the very beginning—whether that’s setting up a new business, developing robust accounting processes, or providing practical business advice as they grow. One of my first clients has since grown to achieve annual turnover of more than £3 million while maintaining strong profitability.
My audit background also means I can work effectively with auditors and prepare high-quality audit working papers, helping to make the audit process as smooth as possible. I have experience presenting to Boards and preparing Board papers, but what I’m most passionate about is making financial information clear and understandable for non-financial business owners and managers. I believe good advice should give people confidence, not confusion.
Alongside my client work, I also enjoy tutoring Higher Accounting and Higher Business Management, helping students build both knowledge and confidence in these subjects.
